Day at the Beach with Friends

One of Abraham's friends at Day Care is a little girl named Sadie. The two of them get along really well. Lucky for me, I work with Theresa, Sadie's mom, at school. She is the guidance counselor. We scheduled a beach day back in June before school let out and that day was this past Wednesday. Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is about 2 hours from our place and is an easy drive. The weather was okay - overcast and a bit rainy, but the kids didn't mind and quite honestly I didn't mind either! We sat under the umbrella and talked while the kids dug and played. It turned into a really great day to get to know each other better. We don't have much time at school to connect so this was great! After about 3 hours on the beach we headed to FunLand for the kiddos to get on the rides. Seriously after all day playing hard and then the rides, these kids were ready to CRASH! Neither of them had a nap, obviously! We weren't in the car 10 minutes and Sadie crashed and about 10 minutes later Abraham was out. Theresa and I had good conversation, altho I'm afraid I might have talked more than she did!

We hope to have more playdates this summer! Thanks Theresa and Sadie for a great day at the beach.

Sadie and Abraham at Rehoboth Beach

I think he was trying to stand in the bucket - and asked Sadie to help him... we are still working on being a gentleman!

I'm King of the World!

They were having great fun jumping off the "mountain" (a big pile of sand!) We saw backflips and tummy rolls... and face plants! Good Job Abraham!

This lasted about... 1 minute before they were back playing!

Me and my boy

Can you tell how WIPED out they were?? Abraham looks like he is in a daze!

Dreamin' of the day I can drive one for REAL!

Wow, looks like fun. He looks like he really enjoys the digging and playing in the sand. What fun.
Thank you for sharing.

It looks like you all had a blast even with a bit of crummy weather. The rides at Funland are always a bit hit. What a great day at the beach!
