Talk about a world of difference in temperature... last Sunday it was freezing - Monday it was close to 70 degrees! I had off for President's Day so Kari and I took the kids to the playground. They just love playing together and have the best time. We had fun... ran them ragged for over an hour - these are the moments that will stay with me forever. Seeing their faces smiling and laughing - joining them on the slide and swings. Makes me feel like a kid again! :

My Sweet Boy!

Alex, Chloe and Abraham

Alex - 6 years old and in 1st grade... he is SUCH a big boy!

Can you tell that Abraham loves running around with his cousins?? :)

Ok, so I got into the fun and Abraham thought it was hilarious to have Momma slide with him... yea, really funny kid!!

Generally, Abraham doesn't like to swing but this swing is bigger and he is ok in it.. for a little while at least.

Me and my boy

Time with Daddy

Abraham LOVES books and can sit for long blocks of time to have someone read to him. Being a teacher (and mom!) it just warms my heart to have him grab a book and plop in my lap telling me to "read to you!" That is my sweet boy!!

Last Sunday, to get out of the house, we took Abraham to a playground close to our house. It was a bit chilly out but that doesn't ever seem to bother Abraham. He was more than happy to be climbing and sliding and all that kid stuff. It just amazes me how big he is getting and all the things he is able to do now. Abraham is becoming more independant and is definately asserting himself more as well. It is pretty neat to see his personality really come out - the attitude I could do without but hey, it comes with the 2 year old territory... or so I've been told!!

Climbing on the ladder - I can do it momma!

I love sliding!

Talking in the "microphone" with Daddy! HELLLOOOOO!!!

Flying with Daddy!

I dizzy momma!

Kramra Fun

My "Kramra" :)

How do you use this thing again??

This one is just so that y'all know that it's not all smiles around our house... this is Abraham crying/whining because Momma took the Kramra away from him!! Mean Momma!!

Friends are Friends Forever!

For those of you who might not know, I attended Word of Life Bible Institute in up state New York from 1994 - 1996. I made some incredible friends while I was there... some that I am still in touch with today. Laura was one of those friends - altho back then I called her Haggarty (her maiden name!) She and I didn't really become friends until our 2nd year at WOL. We did a lot of stuff together - with a few other friends. Then we graduated from WOL and went our own ways. But thanks to Laura's faithful friendship and emails... and sometimes mine :) We have managed to stay friends for the past 13 years.

This is a picture of us the last time that we saw each other - at my wedding nearly 7 years ago. She and her husband Ian traveled from New England (not sure exactly where at the time.. she has lived ALL over New England!) to be at our wedding - I had the privilege a year or so prior to be at her wedding as well.

Anyhow, all that to say... and yes there is a point to my ramblings!! She had a vacation planned in 2 weeks and it was unexpectedly cancelled. Well apparently she needs ME/MOMMY time and her hubby told her to come and see little ol' me! So she is coming to visit me in 2 weeks and I am really excited to see her again! She might be more excited than me to get away from home for a few days - but I'm still pretty excited!!

I'm just really blessed to have been able to develop some deep friendships with people from my past. God has given me strong Christian friends who share common faith, mindset and values with me. I couldn't ask for more!
(besides Laura, I'm still good friends with one of my roomies from WOL too - Emily)

So come on Laura - we got lots to do!!

Please Pray

I have checked in on little Ashley Adams today only to find out that she is not doing well at all. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. I know that our Father, the Great Physician, is bigger than this and He can heal her.

You can use my link on the side of my blog to check on the family.
Thanks!

How I drive Momma crazy when she folds laundry!!

Abraham always loves to "help" fold the laundry. Unfortunately he hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet... we are still working on that! He sees me shaking out the clothes and he imitates me. Then, his idea of fun is to UNfold what I have FOLDED!
Today, he decided to take my unmentionables and put them around his neck, and then put my shirt on. He kept walking around saying "My shirt!". Good thing Daddy wasn't home!! Eventually the shirt and "others" came off but he certainly was amused for a good 25 minutes with the laundry!! And to think we BUY toys for this child... :)

"Snow" Day fun with the cousins

So, yea a snow day... since we are in the apartment, and there are only so many places to play, Abraham and I went to Mimi's to play with Alex and Chloe. Abraham rarely gets to interact with Alex and he just loves him. We went over and the 3 of them played together. They really get along wonderfully, most of the time!!! :) Abraham thought it was the most hilarious thing that they were "zurburting" his belly. He kept saying, "You do it Chloe. You do it Momma. You do it Alex!" It was too cute! We had a good time spending time with family. And Kari and I got to just sit and talk - which is something we rarely get to do, unless we have a Starbucks run... which is something we are in need of doing again, right sis!? Anyhow, we are so blessed to have family close by, especially for Alex and Chloe and Abraham to have a chance to play together. Kari and I never had any cousins so I just think it is the coolest thing for them to have that relationship. Thank the Father for family!

Fun with the cousins

Cheese!

Belly kissing/tickling with Abraham!

Sticker Face!

For some reason, unknown to me, schools in our county were closed today. We had some freezing rain/sleet last night that I guess coated the streets well enough that they thought taking the buses out wasn't a good idea. Anyhow, I was glad for a day off (even though I was out sick with strep throat on Monday and Tuesday of this week!) So Abraham and I stayed in our pj's for a good part of the morning. He found my stickers and kept taking them off and putting them on his face. He got very tickled with himself!

More Stickers Please!!

Answer to Many Prayers!

If you haven't had a chance to check out this blog maks sure you do! God continues to answer prayers on behalf of Nate, Tricia and baby Gwyneth! Tricia is well enough to be put on a list for a transplant - Nate got to do kangaroo care with Gwyneth... God is good all the time! The next prayer is for Tricia to be able to hold sweet Gwyneth. This little girl is nearly 4 weeks old and Tricia has yet to hold her. I can't even imagine the longing to hold your little one!

Continue to keep this sweet family in your prayers! Thanks
