I love Mc Gruff the Crime Dog!

This past Saturday, the local police department was holding a Safety Fair in one of the parks. They were offering the Kidprint ID cards for free. It is a credit card looking card that has his name, height, weight, eye color, hair color, date of birth and his picture on the front of it. On the back is a scanned image of his thumbprint. The purpose of these cards is if a child goes missing, the card can be shown without the parent having to think on the spot of the critical details. His thumbprint is also on file with the police department.
It started at 10 AM and we got there just a little after. There was already about 15 families in line with their little ones in tow.
Abraham did great - I was a bit worried that he wouldn't sit for the picture but he was a trooper! He did LOVE seeing Mc Gruff and actually wanted his picture taken with the dog - now THERE is a first!!
They had lots of free stuff, a cool playground set up as well as pony rides. It also looked like they were doing car seat checks too.
It was a great opportunity and I'm really glad that we were able to take advantage of it.

Waiting in line - he actually fell down these stairs while we were waiting! Caught himself with his hands so his head didn't hit! Great job Momma... NOT!!!

I am NOT very good at self portraits --- and Abraham is NOT very good at cooperating! So what is new?

Having his picture taken by the Lions Club guys - they were super nice!

Abraham and Mc Gruff - that smile says it all! He was taken with the doggie!
